IT services firms x AI: the new digital equation

Will AI replace IT services firms?
Artificial intelligence is profoundly transforming the IT sector and already accelerating many processes: code generation, interface creation, task automation and rapid production of initial application versions.
However, moving faster does not guarantee the success of a digital project.
Many solutions developed largely with AI encounter their first limitations when they go into production. While demonstrations can sometimes look convincing, difficulties often emerge in real business environments: incomplete functional logic, poorly anticipated complex integrations, technical choices that are hard to maintain or a mismatch with business needs.
This is precisely where an IT services firm brings its true added value: defining requirements, structuring projects, designing reliable architectures and ensuring a secure transition to production.
AI is now a tremendous accelerator of execution. But turning that speed into a robust, scalable and truly usable solution still requires human expertise, strategic vision and a thorough understanding of business challenges.
The future does not signal the disappearance of IT services firms, but rather an evolution in the role of those capable of delivering real technical, organizational and business value.
